Data & AI Ethics Statement

Last Updated: November 25, 2025

This statement outlines our commitment to responsible AI practices, reflecting the very principles we teach in our course.

1. Commitment to Ethical AI

We commit to the principles of Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, and Explainability (FATE) in all our operations and in the content we teach.

2. Data Handling and AI

No Training on Customer Data

We do not use any customer-provided data (including course usage, Q&A, or personal information) to train any of our internal or third-party AI models. All customer data is treated as confidential and used solely for service delivery.

Transparency

We will be transparent about where AI is used in our operations (e.g., for content generation, customer support triage) and ensure human oversight is maintained.

3. Content Integrity (E-E-A-T)

Temperature 0 Accuracy

All regulatory and factual content in the Course is verified using primary sources (Temperature 0 accuracy) and is subject to a rigorous E-E-A-T verification process, reflecting the high standards expected by board directors.

Human-in-the-Loop

While AI tools may be used to assist in drafting, all final Course content, frameworks, and legal citations are reviewed, verified, and approved by the human instructors (June Lai and Charlotte Fallon Smith).

4. Bias Mitigation

We actively teach and practice bias mitigation. Our course content addresses the systemic risks of algorithmic bias, particularly in areas like hiring and lending, and provides directors with the tools to demand fairness testing in their own organizations.
